Best value in La Fortuna

My husband and I were traveling with a tighter budget but we decided to splurge for a few nights at this hotel. It was absolutely luxurious but we were so glad to find that it did not feel pretentious. It had every amenity of a resort but without the all-inclusive limitations. We were greeted with fresh squeezed juice, a cool towel and two coupons for complimentary drinks at the swim-up bar.

The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained with incredible volcano views. And between the sprawling pool, the waterfall shower and private jacuzzi, who needs the overpriced hot springs?! This hotel is just about as romantic as could be, and the builders did a very smart job situating each room to optimize both privacy and exquisite views.
